Pros and cons of Runner's Ally app for iPhone and iPad

Runner's Ally app good for

Cool app! It is good for seeing stuff for training and stuff! :D
I wanted an easy to use app to figure out what to wear on a run. This app does that and so much more. For training clothes, the app imports your weather and provides the perfect outfit. It also provides a pace calculator and training goals if you have a goal race time for an upcoming event. Well worth the price!
I run to 21 miles to work at least once or twice a week regardless of the weather. This jewel gives me the weather status and best recommendations on what to wear. A very needed tool when you wish to bolt out the door under a tight time schedule. It is also true resource for all a runner needs to start a daily run, training exercise or race as it does the math regarding all steps to set for tempo, speed & easy long runs.
I use the weather portion of the app every morning before I run and the rest have all been used more than once.
I love the what to wear app - especially since Runners World lost that online satire for a while. I also like the race splits calculator.
I use this app daily for the what to wear function. Really useful!

Some bad moments

What drives me nuts about this app, is that it is always set in default Imperial (U.S.) measurements. The weather is always in Farenheit, (with no Celsius info at all) - which I have no idea what it means, since I use the Metric system, (like most of the world), and I have to keep changing the distances from miles to kms manually because it always resets back to default zero any time you turn the app off. This is the only app I know of that doesnt give the owner the option to set any of their own default preferences. Presumably, 99% of the people using an app on their phone are the only ones using their phone, so having no control over default settings is a major flaw that needs to be fixed. On that note, if Im training for months and months for a race- a half marathon in my case right now - Id love it if the app would remember my training info, so I can turn it on and glance at my target times, etc. I hate that I have to re-enter this info every single time. I would rate this app a 4 out of 5 if the makers could please make these fixes. As it stands, I would recommend to everyone to go looking for some other app that remembers your settings and inputted info. Very frustrating. I wouldnt have bought it if I had known it was like this.
Doesnt work. No support. Says "error retrieving weather and location info" repeatedly. Location services turned on for app. Can I get my money back? I did find a place in the app to email the developer but there is no app support on the website you are taken to when you press the app support button in the app store. I am waiting to hear back from the developer in the hopes that I will be able to fix this problem. If I can I will submit and more positive review.
I cant believe I paid for this. Doesnt even load information. Previous app "what to wear" for runners quit working. I assumed because the creator wanted to be paid, so I bought this one and its just as bad. Dont waste your $!
I purchased this for the "what to wear" aspect. Every day, regardless of the temperature, it suggested the same thing. Dont waste your money on this app. Now the "what to wear" doesnt even work. This app is the biggest rip off of all time. They should have to refund us all. Anyone who gives this app a good rating is probably being paid by the company.
Owners know the app doesnt work but do nothing to fix it. Sorry app!!!
Not much to it. Not very sophisticated. I am disappointed. Would be OK for free.
